El Corte Inglés Launches ModiFace-Powered "Virtual Mirror"

El Corte Inglés has made ModiFace virtual try-on technology available to its customers, giving them the ability to experiment with and try on L’Oréal brand makeup products online without having to apply them in real life. You just click on a product with the label “Discover How It Looks On You”, upload a photo or use the device’s camera, and see the results instantly.
El Corte Inglés is the first Spanish retailer to incorporate this ModiFace technology from L’Oréal. The uniqueness of it lies in its realistic results - artificial intelligence adjusts product rendering automatically in various lighting conditions based on shade information provided by L’Oréal brands like Lancôme, YSL Beauty, Giorgio Armani, Urban Decay, L'Oréal Paris, Maybelline NY, and NYX Professional Makeup.
“It is a tool that generates customer loyalty, because it multiplies the time spent on the website by 4x and the purchases are doubled”, says Guillaume Sonolet, who is Chief Marketing Officer of L’Oréal Spain and responsible for projects related to the digitization of the company. For all these reasons, virtual testing services have contributed to the rise of beauty product e-commerce in Spain.
