ModiFace At ECCV 2022

October 26, 2022

ModiFace is thrilled to be presenting at 2022’s European Conference on Computer Vision (ECCV) in Tel Aviv. We’ll be attending and presenting an oral paper exploring gradient-based, multi-directional controls in generative adversarial networks (GANs). GANs, an artificial intelligence (AI) technique to generate synthetic images, are a popular topic in the computer vision research field. Our method explores the "latent space" of GANs. By exploring the GAN latent space, we can change features of an image such as adding or removing a smile, changing the age of the subject, or even adding or removing eyeglasses.

Our research will help us launch the next generation of virtual try-on (VTO), whether it is improving our already first-class Hair VTO or Makeup VTO, or bringing about advancements to our Skin Analysis technology. It doesn’t just stop at potential service enhancement! Our findings also enable us to create computer generated data with precise control over the content in the images. Data is incredibly important to ModiFace for training our artificial intelligence algorithms, and large datasets can be challenging to collect. We never use consumer data to train our AI, so adding computer generated data to our current datasets can allow us to build even more accurate solutions in the future.

Our goal, as a company, is to never stop pursuing excellence in our field and we aim to continue to raise the bar for both ourselves and the industry, year after year. Conferences like ECCV grant us these opportunities to present and learn more. For more information on ECCV 2022, visit https://eccv2022.ecva.net/.
